JSPC Supports Local Business Awards

WBA-2013 logo3025 (2)

The Adur and Worthing Business Awards 2013 have just been launched and we are proud to be headline sponsors. Entries are now open across 18 award categories and to encourage businesses to enter our Managing Director, James Stoner, is offering a new iPad 4. Every business that enters the awards before Friday 26 July will go into a free prize draw. On the night of the awards, all of the entrants’ names will go into a hat and James will draw one out. The lucky winner will receive the iPad.

The award categories are broad and include small business of the year, business personality and lifetime achievement. Entry to the awards is free and businesses can be entered for any category, and for as many categories as they wish. Nominations can be submitted by businesses, customers, family and friends.

Judges will carefully review all of the entries and the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Friday 18 October. The special event, at Worthing Pavilion, will be hosted by television presenter Fred Dinenage.

To view all categories and make a nomination, please pick up a copy of the Worthing Herald today or visit www.jpsouthevents.co.uk

Technology Made Easy

Johnston Press is publishing a weekly technology tips column produced by JSPC in a number of Sussex newspaper titles. Our new advice column ‘Technology Made Easy’ will cover a variety of interesting topics such as safer online shopping, keyboard shortcuts and how to create document folders.

Each week we will focus on a different technology related issue, providing advice that is easy to follow. We recommend the column to anyone who would like to learn more about using computers, the Internet and other digital tools.

Readers can email in questions and we will do our best to feature them in the newspapers. Please email any of your questions to questions@jspc.co.uk.

You can read our latest column in any of the following titles: The Chichester Observer, Bognor Regis Observer, Midhurst & Petworth Observer, the Worthing Herald, Steyning Herald, Shoreham Herald, Lancing Herald and Littlehampton Gazette.

A Call for Business Award Nominations

As sponsors of the Business Matters Awards 2013 and the Overall Business of the Year category, we are encouraging people to enter or make nominations. There are 19 award categories including start-up business of the year, star of the future and employee of the year. The awards are being promoted across the West Sussex County Times, Crawley Observer, Mid Sussex Times and Sussex Express. All businesses within the relevant circulation areas can be entered into the awards.

It is an ideal opportunity for newspaper readers to nominate their favourite businesses and individuals to make sure they receive the recognition they deserve. We are pleased to sponsor the Overall Business of the Year Award which will go to a business that does its best for clients, staff and the community.

There are only days left to make nominations as the closing date for all entries is Friday 5 July 2013. Winners will be announced during an awards gala dinner at the Copthorne Effingham Hotel on Friday 13 September.
