Neal Marsh Breaks World Record!

We are delighted to announce that Neal Marsh, of JSPC Computer Services, successfully broke the Concept2 World Record for the longest continual indoor row after completing an incredible 80 hours on the rowing machine in aid of Love Your Hospital charity.

Neal row

The challenge began at 9am on Thursday 4th December and finished at 5pm on Sunday 7th December in the Penguin Foyer at Worthing Hospital. Neal rowed continually without sleep, being supported by friends, colleagues and well-wishers who all kept him awake and fed. The row lasted for over three days and saw him accomplish an amazing 578,900m and 100,000 oar strokes in total.

Neal has so far raised an incredible £2430 for Love Your Hospital and Worthing Hospital’s Neonatal Ward. He is still accepting donations for this worthy cause, so if you could spare something please see his Just Giving page to donate www.justgiving.com/indoor-rowWR

The current Guinness World Record holder, Stuart Cleary from Queensland in Australia, held a record of three days and six hours, which Neal managed to surpass on the Sunday night and awaits for official confirmation from Guinness World Records on his record-breaking achievement.

“I’m so pleased we have managed to raise so much for Love Your Hospital,” commented Neal, “the fundraising is still continuing and hopefully they will benefit even further.”

How to upload photos and videos to Facebook

Facebook can be a great place to upload your photos and videos so your friends and family can see them, so here’s how you do it.

At the top of your ‘News Feed’ and ‘Profile’ on the Facebook website there’s a box where you can ‘Update Status’ or ‘Add Photos/Video’, click on the latter and it will give you the option to ‘Upload Photos/Video’ or ‘Create Photo Album’.

Click on either of these and an upload window will appear where you can select your photos or video from the files on your computer.

If you are on the Facebook app click the ‘Photo’ tab at the top of your newsfeed, which will let you access your phone’s photos and videos to upload.

Select the photos or video you want to upload, and while they’re uploading you can ‘tag’ the people in them so they get a notification about the upload. You can also add a description of the album or individual photos, along with details of the location.

Next to the ‘Post’ button you can select who you would like to see the photos. Options include ‘public’, ‘friends of friends’, ‘only me’ and ‘custom’ where you can select specific people to share the photos or video with, or hide them from. Hit post and the photos or video will appear in the news feed of the audience you selected.
